200 Monges Reserva is a spectacular Rioja Reserve wine with fermentation in French oak and 18 months of reserve in French and American oak, with 18 months of completion in the bottle.

200 Monges Reserva is the result of a very careful selection of the best grapes and bunches to obtain a wine with an exceptional potential, which keeps all its aroma and splendour that have given rise to countless awards and national and world recognition.

This wine was made with a strict selection of three grape varieties – Tempranillo 85%, Graciano 10% and Garnacha 5% – harvested manually in 15 kg tubs.

The grapes are partially or totally destemmed, depending on the year and then fermented in Allier oak vats for 11 days, and left in contact with the skins for further 25 days, in order to extract the right amount of tannins.

The finished wine was aged for a minimum of 20 months in new barrels made of French oak from different forests as well as American oak. Once bottled it spends a minimum of 16 months in our cellars before being put on to the market. As the wine is completely unfiltered we recommend opening and decanting 30-45 minutes before serving.
